Erasmus for foreign students

    The Erasmus programme aims to enhance the quality of higher education and promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through mobility and academic cooperation.

    The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for the management of The Erasmus programme. Erasmus scholarships are for students (Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate, Post-doc), Administrative Staff and Academic Staff from specific countries for studies or work placements in partner Universities.

    The Erasmus grant covers a monthly allowance, a return flight ticket, tuition fees, and insurance costs.

Living expenses

Cost of living in Chernivtsi is approximately the following:

• room in a hotel – 15–50 USD per night;

• living in the hostel – 30–50 USD per month (depending on conditions);

• rent of the apartment – 60–300 USD per month.

Meals Average cost of one meal depends on the place where you choose to eat:

• canteen – 2 USD;

• cafe – 4 USD;

• disco bar – 20 USD;

• restaurant – 30 USD.

Public transport (for one ride):

• trolleybus – 0,06 USD;

• bus – 0,12 USD;

• taxi – starting from 1,2 USD (depends on time and travel distance).
